Kochi : Actor – director Vijay Babu has brought up on himself another case, this time for naming the victim of his alleged rape. Police at Ernakulam South station arraigned Vijay Babu in rape case on Tuesday after a woman accused him of sexually exploiting her on promise of roles in his films.
In her complaint dated 22 April, the Kasaragod native said Vijay Babu sexually assaulted her several times in his flat in Kochi. Based on the account, Vijay was charged with rape and inflicting grievous injuries
On his part, Vijay Kumar denied allegations.
