Kochi : The Crime Branch submitted to court the progress progress report on its continued investigation in the Actress Assault Case involving actor Dileep. With forensic processing of digital evidence now done, Crime Branch sought three more months for ongoing investigation, citing voice samples must be secured from the culprits and more witnesses brought in for testimony.
The Additional Special Sessions court in Ernakulam had earlier set deadline of 1 March for continued investigations it allowed in the wake of revelations made by director Balchandrakumar.
Earlier, Dileep urged the court to quash continued investigation while Crime Branch sought six months more .
Actress Assault Case 2017: In the case the survivor, a popular actress by profession, was on way from her Thrissur home when she was waylaid on the outskirts of Kochi by a gang. After hi-jacking her car, the prime accused, Pulsar Suni, molested her and captured visuals of the act on mobile The crime is alleged to have been perpetrated at behest of actor Dileep.
Murder Conspiracy Case 2021 against Dileep: Here, a film director, Balachndra Kumar, divulged private conversations and things he saw in company of the actor, implying that Dileep drew plan to murder lead police investigator in the Actress Assault Case 2017.
