Kochi : Actor Dileep approached the High Court seeking to adjourn hearing on survivor’s petition related to leaking of the memory card that allegedly contains assault visuals.
Dileep urged court to grant more time before it would hear arguments on survivor’s demand for a court-supervised investigation. The High Court adjourned ruling on Dileep’s plea for delayed hearing. The government lawyer told court that the survivor’s plea was extremely reasonable.
Meanwhile, the High Court appointed Adv Renjith Marar as amicus curiae in the memory card related plea filed by the survivor.
The Assault Case : On 17 February, 2017, the survivor, a popular actress, was on way from her Thrissur home iwhen she was waylaid on the outskirts of Kochi by a gang. After car-jacking, the prime accused, Pulsar Suni, molested her and captured visuals of the act on a mobile The crime was allegedly carreid out at behest of actor Dileep.
