Thiruvananthapuram : Veteran film editor KP Hariharaputhran has died aged 79. The end came at this home in Thiruvananthapuram. The funeral will be held at Shantikavadam crematorium in Thycaud at 2 pm today.
Hariharaputhran’s editing career in films spans five decades. He was cinematographer to several blockbusters and worked as Assistant Editor, Associate Editor and Editor. His career as Malayalam film editor began with movie “Vilakyu Vangiye Veena” 1971. Scores of hit films followed such as Seshakriya, Guruji Oru Vaaku, Sukhamo Devi, Punjabi House, Mayavi, Pandipada, Vadakumnathan, Chocolate, Chathikathe Chandu ett - a total of 80 films in all.
