IFFK 2022: Framing Conflict:- The Epitome of war survival

The survival stories of humans, fighting the atrocities of war are picturized through eight movies, in the International film festival. Directors from Afghanistan, Kurdistan and Myanmar are all set to present their finest cinematic excellence under the category of Framing Conflict.

The dilemma faced by three pregnant women under different social circumstances portrayed in Sahraa Karimi’s Hava, Maryam, Ayesha is one among the three movies under the category of Afghan films. The influence of religion and beliefs in contemporary society is portrayed in Navid Mahmoudi’s movie Drowning in Holy Water. The golden globe winner Siddiq Barmak’s movie, Opium war is another visual treat under this category.
