Kochi : Actor Prithviraj has left VPS Lakeshore Hospital in Kochi after undergoing surgery for leg injured during a stunt sequence for Vilayath Buddha. The surgery to the actors right knee was done under supervision of Director of Orthopedics and Head of Joint Preservation, Dr. Jacob Varghese. The actor was discharged on Wednesday and advised couple of months rest.
The accident occurred while filming for a fight sequence at Marayur bus stand early Monday morning. The actor was rushing out off a KSRTC Bus in the scene, when he accidentally fell.
Vilayath Buddha is adaption of GR Indugopan’s novel that goes by the same name. The movie revolves around two men - Bhaskaran Master and smuggler named Double Mohanan, played by Prithviraj - vying to lay claims on sandalwood planted by a farmer.
