Kochi : Popular actress admitted to hospital following an overdose of sleeping pills said it was an accidental ingestion of extra pills and not suicide attempt.
On getting very ill from overdose, the actress was on Tuesday admitted to a private hospital in Kochi, where doctors said she was past the critical stage. Police said the 2017 actress assault case has no bearing on the current incident. Incidentally, the actress is one among the witnesses who turned hostile after her initial testimony against actor Dileep in the case.
Social media is rife with claims that new revelations in the case against Dileep had prompted the suicide attemp, a speculation the actress denied.
