Thiruvananthapuram : LDF completes 100 days of its 2nd straight return to power, a moment that also marks completion of several glittering projects. In fact, all projects announced by the Chief Minister during election days have reached their conclusion, driven by government's active steps toward promotion of businesses.
An agreement has been signed with Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) toward the Tata Elxsi project that will generate 6000 jobs in the state. MoUs were also signed for V=Guard’s Rs 120 crore investment and Lulu Group’s Electronic Warehouse. Draft has been prepared for Statutory Grievance Redressal meant for inspections in industries. An aid-package of Rs 1416 crore has been set aside for the small scale industry.
Rental waivers were allowed for 531 IT units. Also remitted was relief to the tune of Rs 4.38 crores to over 227 enterprises. The provision for 5 % hike in rentals annually has been frozen for now benefiting 858 businesses with a Rs 6.6 crore in discount thereof. Also, the jobs promised in co-operative sector also became reality in this time.
1188 Homes; 1752 Study Rooms
1188 houses were readied by the Schedule Caste Welfare department in the first 100 days of the LDF governance post elections. These homes came with furniture and also built were 1752 study rooms. Rs 1.5 lakh was granted for completion of houses whose constructions became stalled. Rs 2 lakh was allowed to built study rooms in houses.
8 variety of seeds and 4 variety of saplings were distributed as part of “Harithasree Niravallam project. 95 percent of Rs 3 crores were spend toward renovation of Aralam Farm and Athappadi Co-op Farming Society, The socio-economic survey undertaken by Schedule Caste Welfare Department, has also been completed. Several schemes have been completed well beyond expectations in the 100 day of governance, said Minister K Radhakrishnan at a press meet.
