15 Injured After Karnataka Bus Turns Over To Its Side In Irrity

Kannur : A Karnataka state transport sleeper coach crashes onto a tree at Makuttam in Iritty before turning over to its side, injuring at least 15 passengers. The accident took place early Monday morning 4 am. The bus reportedly lost control at a curve close to Methiyadipara Hanuman Kovil on Churam road leading to the accident.

Front portion of the bus was totally wrecked in the impact. The accident was reported by travelers who passed the stretch later. following which, Fire Force reached the scene in about half hour and cut through the bus body to rescue the driver and passengers trapped inside. Those injured have been admitted into a private hospital nearby. The bus was plying Bengaluru-Kannur route.
