Varkala: A 16-year-old girl, Gauri, died tragically after falling off Venad Express at Edava early this morning 6:10 am. Gauri along with her parents have their house in Kollam’s Pullamkuzhi and were on way to Mannanam Govt Higher Secondary School in Kottayam after holidays, where she is a Plus One student.
When the Train from Thiruvananthapuram reached Edava Decent Mukku area close to Varkala, Gauri who stood close to the door, jerked off balance and fell out. Gauri sustained grave injuries and was immediately rushed to Varkala Taluk Hospital but had already died.
