Thiruvananthapuram : Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan launched 100-day Programme for development of State – the 4th edition since coming into power of the second LDF government. The programme will vitalise activities that ensure welfare of common people, their social advancement and broader sustainable development for Kerala, said CM.
Apart from carrying out of election manifesto promises, the 100-day Programme also takes in areas requiring special attention. The programme will have been executed wholly by 22nd October to commemorate with the third anniversary of the current LDF government. A total of 1, 070 projects across 47 departments to the tune of Rs 13,013.40 crores will have completed within 100 days.
2,59,384 jobs would be generated within the 100-day time frame. It has been decided to attain completion and inaugural of 706 projects and further inaugurate construction of 364 projects during the 100-day timeline. The programme also includes projects generating livelihoods and those to develop supportive background.
Inauguration of completed projects would include 63 road constructed costing Rs 761.93 crores, 11 buildings that cost Rs 28.28 crores and 9 bridges worth Rs 90.91 crores. Inaugurals for new construction will include 24 roads allocated Rs .437.21 crores, 17 buildings worth Rs 81.74 crores and 9 bridges to the cost of Rs 77.94 crores.
30,000 more title deeds would be issued Statewide in 100 days. 37 Smart villages would be completed and inaugural to commence construction of another 29 are included in the 100-day programmed. The 100 K-Store milestone will be accomplished by upgrading 456 more ration shops to K-Stores. Expensive drugs such as for cancer, post organ transplant surgery medication, etc will be made available priced without profit margin through Karunya Community Pharmacy.
10,000 new independent houses will be handed over via LIFE Mission. The “city of letters” Kottayam” will be transformed into land of letters tourism hub. A new polytechnic college for women will be started in Poojapura, including it in the Smart City Project of Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation. Initiatives in the 100-day Programme also covers comprehensive development of Muzhapilangad – Dharmadam Beach in Kannur district, the unveilingof Sree Narayana Guru’s biography in digital form and completion of 250 MPI franchise outlets with modern facilities.
