KOZHIKODE : Two house surgeons from Kozhikode Medical College have tested positive for Covid-19. The duo are part of a group that toured Delhi on a leisure trip in March. Contact tracing shows the group on their return journey, had attendees from Nizamuddin’s Tablighi Jammat as co-passengers, in their train. Incidentally, six doctors who examined the medicos too have been placed under quarantine.
A 10-member group had left for Delhi for holidaying last month. On return, 9 of them were quarantined in a house near the medical college where they lived. Samples from them were sent for testing at the end of quarantine period. When results arrived, they showed presence of the virus in the two house surgeons. The pair have been moved to isolation ward at Kozhikode medical college for treatment.
