THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : In the ongoing controversy over missing bullets, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala admitted to serious lapse that occurred during his party tenure. The incident occured in September of 2015. At that time, a sealed packet containing 200 rounds went missing at Thrissur AR camp, Chennithala told reporters at a press conference.

Interestingly, the revelation came during the press meet that Chennithala summoned  to explain how the latest CAG report cited no lapse at all  during UDF rule. Chennithala was Home Minster in the previous government.

Recounting the follow-up Chennithala said, the ARR camp matter was put under investigations which were still on when LDF came to power. The findings were subsequently released, he said. Irregularities if any during UDF tenure may be put for investigations, he added.
