Thiruvananthapuram : The Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) has forecast severe rains in State. Four districts have been put on Red Alert, namely, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. It is Orange Alert in districts of Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram and other districts have been issued Yellow Alert.
Predicted across districts are sporadic rains and high winds. Isolated rains accompanied by thunder and lighting are predicted for hilly regions. Vigil akin to Orange alert is being observed in hilly stretches given high amount of received in these places over the past few days.
