Thiruvananthapuram : There will be 67,000 more jobs generated in the IT sector, Chief Minster Pinarayi Vijayan announced. 63-lakh sq ft would become dedicated exclusively for I, said CM, adding that IBS emerging as major global player speaks of investment friendly atmosphere prevalent in Kerala. The Chief Minister was speaking at inaugural of IBS’s silver jubilee celebrations.
Kerala offers excellent investment opportunities. Govt lays great weightage for IT services. Number of startups in the past 6 years rose from 300 to 3900. Incubators and accelerators too were set up. The growth was sustained by the way of grants, seed funding and setting up of corpus funds. IBS, that began with just 55 staffers has expanded globally with s over 3000 employees today, said CM.
