A Day Of Relief, Says Health Minister ; Only 1 Fresh Case; 10 Patients Recover

Thiruvananthapuram : The day marks big relief to Kerala in terms of Covid-19, said Health Minister KK Shailaja Friday evening. Only one case of the virus, a person from Kozhikode, was diagnosed positive  today. He caught the virus from proximity to an infected individual, the minister added. 

 

10 people left hospitals today following full recovery. Those cured and turning negative for the virus,  include 6 Kasaragod natives, 2 from Ernakulam and one each from Alappuzha and Malappuram. In all, 255 people have made full recovery from Covid-19 in the state so far while 138 remain under treatment for the infection, in various hospitals.

 

There are 78,980 people across the state placed under observation, with 78,454 who remain in their homes and 526 in varied hospitals. Meanwhile 84 people were admitted into hospital newly today, largely for closer observation and testing. Samples from 18,029 symptomatic persons were sent for testing of which, 17,279 results that arrived were negative.
