Thiruvananthauram : The Party moves forward by conducting serious debates, criticisms and self-criticisms. However, the unique scenario one gets is see now is how the media is using that process to spin its own stories, hold chat shows over it and pass judgments, said CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan, clarifying on the political atmosphere emerging in the past few days. MV Govindan was airing views on an online series titled “Nilapaadu(Standpoint)”.
The media has been asking questions relating to this both in Delhi and Kerala. When you create a news all by yourself and whip it up with discussions, what’s the ground for asking (my)opinion on it, asked MV Govindan.
Given that, when media comes up creations of its own, debates on them and arrive at opinion to their liking, there is no need for CPI(M) provide opinion on such matter, said Govindan.
Whatever needs to be addressed to the media shall be discussed with it. The Party, its cadres and leaders are being unnecessarily picked on to be bombarded with chats centre, right and left. The Party has punctually spoke with media whenever necessary, said MV Govindan.
