Thiruvananthapuram : The case against Minister KT Jaleel cannot be sustained, said Vigilance. The complaints received are largely hearsay in nature and have no factual basis. The complainant provided no evidence in support of his claim nor has he come forward to offer explanations. Anti-corruption Act has no implications for the case, the Vilgilance Public Prosecutor Unnikrishnan S Cherunoor told the special court on Monday.
Meanwhile, the complainant sought more time in the case following which, a further hearing was slated for 30 Dec.
The complainant had claimed that overseas food-kits received by the Minister for distribution, involved corruption and self-serving interests.
