Thrissur : The Thrissur West police on Thursday arrested actor Sreejith Ravi for indecent exposure to minors. The case with POCSO charges was registered two days ago.
Police had been on lookout for the actor and the CCTVs-centric search ended after his car was spotted in one of the images. Follwing this, the actor was taken into custody.
The incident took place in Ayantholil, where Sreejith stopped his car close to SN park and exposed private parts in front of children aged 5 and 10 who happened to be there. The children narrated the matter to their parents who in turn reported it to the police. Police got a break when the car in question was identified via CCTV cameras in the area. The two children too positively identified Sreejith as their offender.
Sreejith has been booked in similar case before. At the time in 2016, he was arrested for indecent exposure to school children in Ottapalam’s Pathiipalam .
