Actress Assault Case : Govt Approaches Supreme Court; Seeks More Time For Concluding Trial

New Delhi : The state government approached Supreme court Wednesday seeking more time for completion of trial in actress assault case of 2017. There is further investigation required into the revelation made by film director Balachandrakumar, the govt. informed court.

Context : The Supreme Court earlier ruled for the trial to be completed and judgment delivered latest by 16 February.

Case : On 17 Feb, 2017 the popular Malayalam actress was waylaid, her car stopped and a gang, allegedly contracted by actor Dileep, sexually assaulted her and captured visuals of it on the prime suspect, Pulsar Suni’s mobile.

Meanwhile : Actor Dileep will be summoned by police for further questioning in the case, but only after they have quizzed prime accused Suni.

According to  Balachandrakumar, Dileep watched visuals of the assault at his residence. The actor shares close relationship with Pulsar Suni, he said.
