Thiruvananthapuram : In 2012, Jayprakash from Kudathil veedu in Kaladi, died midnight after a fall from his cot. In 2017 his nephew Jaymohan died at night after a wooden plank fell on his head. Neighbours were not informed these deaths and were later discouraged from attending the funeral in both cases.
Now after Jolly's cyanide spree resurrected, seven deaths in Kudathil house that occurred between 2000 and 2017 have come under scanner. The deaths appear intriguing especially as the family owned enormous real estate worth above 50 crores.
According to the complainant, a family member, properties worth Rs 30 crore has been swindled and the deaths were mysterious.
Those dead included Nair, his wife Sumukhiamma, their children - Jayabalakrishnan, Jayaprkash,Jayasree , and their nephews Unnikrishnan and Jayamadhavan.
Ravindran Nair, a distant relative and caretaker of the family assets is prime suspect. He however denies foul play.
"The complaint has come up because I did not yield to their unfair demands," said Ravindran.
All the same, investigations are underway.
"The police have begun a probe. There appears to be a case after going through the preliminary complaint," said Kerala police chief Loknath Behra.
