AKG Centre Attack: Court Refuses Bail For Accused Youth Congress Leader Jithin

Thiruvananthapuram : The Thiruvananthapuram First Class Magistrate Court on Thursday, rejected bail plea from Youth Congress leader Jithin accused of  hurling  explosives at  AKG Centre. The Court cited charges that fell under Explosives Act as basis for refusing the bail. It also acknowledged prima facie evidences of CCTV images and phone call records submitted by the investigation team.

V Jithin Kulathupuzha  is Youth Congress Mandalam president of Attipra in Thiruvananthapuram. He was arrested by special team of police Tuesday morning. He was identified as culprit after investigations lasting two months came up with strong forensic evidences that pointed to him as firsthand perpetrator.
 
The Case : The incident took place on  30 June. After police condicted investigations initially, the case was transferred to Crime Branch. CCTV  footage in the area  showed a suspect on bike who approach  AKG Centre from Kunnukuzhy road . He rides up to the gate as if to surveil and returns. He once more emerges from Kunnumkuzhy road, this time  with a plastic bag on his bike and then quickly hurls explosives into the prmises before making his getaway.
