THIRUVANANTHAPURAM :  Protest marches would be taken out to central govt offices on 18 Feb  from various Assembly constituencies, said LDF Convener A Vijayraghavan.  The Budget paves way for deeper economic and unemployment crisis.  The marches opposing the move, will converge on central govt offices located in  the Assembly constituencies,  he added.

Protests to take place in  140 constituencies would be  part of the national week-long protests  slated between Feb  12 – 18. said Vijayaraghavan.

The  Budget designed to sell en masse the public assets including LIC has nothing at all for Kerala. The Centre has not provided for a single scheme proposed by the State govt. No money absolutely, has been allotted for State’s railway expansion, AIMS, rail coach factory or Sabarimala roads.

In the Budget, the Centre has repeated its cruel stance like when floods struck and the State sought disaster relief.  The Centre through its Budget has almost declared a war on Kerala.

Every member of the public should join the protests opposing what can be described as a  Budget against the people, the Convener said.
