Kochi : The police official who accepted money from Monson Maunkal - the accused in antiques fraud case - will be transferred to a more remote wing.
Mired for underhand deal over the case is Metro Station CI, Anant Lal, who will be moved from Law and Order section to the Crime Records Bureau.
The move comes after investigators found Monson greased several police personnel with lakhs of rupees. The list of bad cops includes Ananth Lal, accused of receiving one lakh rupees and Mepatti SI Ebi Vipinand Rs 1.75 lakh .
A departmental inquiry is underway on directions of DGP Anil Kant. Ernakulam District Crime Branch SP is in charge of the internal probe.
