Kochi : Governor Arif Mphammad Khan was skipped from the list of persons officially receiving the Prime Minister upon his arrival in Kerala. The list forwarded by the State Government included the Governor. Incidentally, the exemption is being explained away saying PM was not at Kochi for any official matter.
The Governor had reached Kochi Sunday so as to receive Prime Minister up on his arrival Monday evening. However, on finding he was exempted from the list, the Governor dashed back. Speaking to the media, the Governor said he was returning without waiting to receive as PM not on any official purpose in Kochi. Events involving officiation are being held in Thiruvananthapuram, hence PM shall be received there, the Governor said.
