Thiruvananthapuram: Special session of Assembly began Thursday morning for discussions to bring out resolution against agricultural laws passed by the centre in September. The Assembly aims to gesture its backing for the farmers’ protests in concrete manner as it continues to escalate unabated.
This session is a very important one, said Speaker. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan presented the motion in question. . The new agricultural laws plunge farmers into deep dilemma, said CM.
The contentious laws endanger food security in the country and must be scrapped, the motion demanded. The resolution will come to express opposing view of the State toward the new farm laws and solidarity for the farmers’ protest.
