Thiruvananthapuram : Justice shall be ensured in Madhu murder case, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. All efforts shall be made to pin culprits with the punishments they deserve. Arrangements shall be made to ensure witnesses are adequately protected, said CM in the the Assembly session Tuesday morning.
CM was addressing concerns raised during the question hour over majority witnesses turning hostile during trial proceedings. Even so, the state govt has taken steps appropriate to the situation, said CM.
Earlier, the prosecution informed the court about the suspects tampering with witnesses – a development the court acknowledged and canceled bails granted to the culprits.
Strict action will be taken against those that threatened Madhu’s mother, said CM, adding that, police inquiry into the incident is ongoing.
There would be no kind of letting down on part of the prosecutors, said CM.
