Mavelikkara : SDPI men in Mavelikkara attacked a DYFI leader Sunday night, inflicting grievous hacks in their attempt to murder hiim. Targeted in the assault was former SFI Local Secretary and member of DYFI Mankamkuzh Regional Committee, Arun Kumar and two others accompanying him too sustained injuries.
Police arrested 5 SDPI workers in the incident – Shamir, Aji, Naushad, Shamnaz and Shahnaz.
Arun, who has been critically wounded,, is hospitalised at Kottayam Medical College.
