Attempt To Hack To Death Woman Sleeping On Town Pavement In Kottayam; 2 Arrested

Kottayam : Assailants woman to death last midnight while she lay asleep on pavement in Kottayam town. The woman was admitted to General Hospital with slit to her neck. The incident took place at Baselios College Junction. Police arrested two suspects, one of who is a Kattappana native by the name Chundeli Babu. He’s believed to have been drunk at the time he carried out the attack.

According to police, the victim 40-year-old Bindu slept her nights on pavements and Babu used to be her companion. Babu has a long criminal history and has also served time in jail on Kappa charges. After primary medical aid, Bindu was shifted to Kottayam Medical College.
