Thiruvananthapuram : There will strong campaign put up against BJP’s religious-political stand, said CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan. RSS and BJP are attempting to infiltrate into various sections of the society in a bid to communalise them. The party decision is to stiffly oppose this, said MV Govindan.
BJP policy is one of creating caste divides. This must be recognised and dealt with accordingly. SNDP is an establishment founded and activated by the pioneer of Kerala’s renaissance movement, Sree Narayana Guru. BJP is trying to communalise SNDP using BDJS as its tool. It is hoped that SNDP itself will prevent saffronisation of Sree Narayana Guru’s establishment.
Before the elections, BJP campaigned for following Manusmriti. BJP bragged of winning 400 seats all by itself. BJP’s aim was to amend Constitution on lines of Manusmriti. In similar fashion, the Muslim League is strong advocate of religious State. CPI(M) endeavours to expose these goals.
The communal forces are supportive of one another and UDF are on side with them. Protection of minorities is an important element of secularism. RSS visualises this as appeasement of the minority. It is Left decision to stand for minorities in a country that has them, said MV Govindan.
Propaganda against the Left is firming up on social media. The media has no qualms on anything. All it can find is turned into weapon against communists. Attacks on social media against women is also on the rise. An example is the attack launched against Mayor who led the rescue operations at Amaizhanchan canal. Cyber attacks are also unleashed on personnel who function as part of the government.
Divya S Iyer, who spoke of government efforts at the inaugural ceremony of first mothership a Vizhinjam, too became target of cyber attacks. The Chief Secretary who highlighted government efforts at the same venue was spared of such attacks.
The Congress activists targeted Divya only because she happened to be a Congress leader’s wife. It is an indication of anti-women force gain strength. Congress has been anti-woman at all times. When Sudhakaran inaugurated a science-related event, it is black magic that he recalled. Congress remains anti-woman and ridden with superstitions, said MV Govindan speaking with the media.
