Kochi : UDF Convener MP Benny Behanan has resigned from his post - a decision, the MP said, is from hurt over news that he has differences with Congress leaders including Oomen Chandy. The resignation was announced at a a press conference called in Kochi.
There, Benny said, the Convener’s post was taken up on instructions from the central leadership and that the post was part of a package. However, controversies that crept around the designation later has been hurtful, he added.
‘There is propaganda circulating that I am opposed to instructions from central leadership; I wouldn’t want to stay longer and pose hindrance to potential decisions by leaders,” Benny told explaining his resignation.
