Kochi: Dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi and co-activists procured anticipatory bail in the case where they assaulting a YouTuber, P. Vijayan Nair, for his sleazy portrayal of woman in his video. The High Court on Tuesday ruled that Bhagyalakshmi and fellow-attackers Diya Sana and Shreelakshmi Arakkal shall be allowed bail in case they are arrested. The women were charged with trespassing and physical assault.
The incident casme to light after Sreelakshmi posted a video of the trio barging into Vijayan’s lodge room in Thiruvananthapuram and attacking him referring to his lewd narrative on women activists. In the video, they said a complaint was lodged with the cyber cell however, since no action was forthcoming, they took matters into their own hands. In the shot, Bhagyalakshmi said they were aware there could be consequences, adding that, their crusade was for the women of Kerala.
