BJP Nurturing Communal Unrest In Tripura; MLA Shaves Head Bald; Says Leaving Party

Agartala : MLA from Tripura’s Surma constituency, Ashish Das, criticised BJP in scathing terms.  The party is fomenting political anarchy and communal unrest in the state, said MLA, who shaved his head bald in symbolic gesture. According to sources, Ashish Das will join Trinamool Congress.

At a press briefing in Kolkata, Ashish Das said he was quitting BJP, adding that, people were dissatisfied with BJP rule in the state. The MLA  performed Yajna at famed temple of Kalighat in Kolkata, which  is located close to residence of Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee.

Ashish had earlier come out in praise of Mamata Banerjee, saying she has the eligibility to become Prime Minister. The head shaving is  being done as penance for misdeeds of the BJP government, the MLA said.
