After casting his vote supporting the motion,  BJP member, Abilash, told reporters that he simply followed instructions from his party. BJP district president KM Haridas native to Koppam panchayat. The BJP’s pro stand is being viewed as the beginning of BJP – Congress  bond slated to spread districtwide.  Before the no-trust topic came to be discussed on Monday, the BJP leaders handed to the Block Panchayat Secretary AK Saritha, a Whip signed by BJP District president. However, she refused to accept it saying it was beyond her powers to hand the Whip to a Panchayat member.

Meanwhile, the BJP leadership claimed that Abilash had voted siding UDF in violation of the Whip. Even so, the BJP is unwilling to approach Election Commission to disqualify him from seat.
