Brawl At District Camp; Youth Congress Removes 26 From Leadership Posts

Palakkad : Following heated exchangss  that occurred at district camp in Attapadi, the Youth Congress removed  26 members from their leadership ranks. Stripped off their positions are: District General Secretaries Sharanjith, K Minhas, Secretaries Vineesh Karimpara, S Shivraj, Akarsh K Nair, K Biju, Dilbi Joseph, PV Hari, N Sripathy, Suresh, K Sajan, District Vice Presidents Rohit Krishnan, Ratheesh Pudushery, C Nithya, Executive Committee Members Mansur Manalangeri, N Dileep,  A Baiju, Deepak Gangadharan, SP Jayaram, KV Hussain, KMK Babu, Rahul Krishna, Suneesh Abraham, TK Shanfi, PV Vinub and Nenmara Constituency President S Vinod.

Following the action, the State General Secretary Jobin Jacob sent a letter to District President TH Firoz Babu informing their  removal from posts.

KPCC President K Sudhakaran had suspended  Tharoor Constituency President Sunil Kumar pending investigations into his derogatory remarks against MP Remya Haridas. Vineesh Karimbara has been expelled accused of anti-organisational behaviour. Rohit Krishnan and S Vinod were removed for inappropriate behaviour at the camp. The rest  were expelled for walking out the camp protesting lack of action against Youth Congress District Secretary Vinish Karimbara  for having threatned  KSU worker Ranjith.

State general secretaries Naufal Babu and C Pramod  have been tasked with probe into the complaint against Vineesh. The incident surrounds a meeting the Congress Distarict Committee held on the 5th of  December. KSU State President Aloysius Xavier too was present at the meeting and Ranjith accused KSU KSU District President Jayagosh of functioning in in one-sided manner. After the meeting,  Vinesh Karimbara WhatsApped Ranjith  and threatened him. The voice message left by f Vinesh said Ranjith  would learn of consequences should he dare to come into the DCC office again.
