Thiruvananthapuram : A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to discuss the buffer zone issue is scheduled today 4 pm. Participants include the state minister for froest and high ranking forest officials.
The buffer zone meeting has been convened given that it’s one month since Supreme Court issued its directive in the context. The meeting will, among other things, evaluate to what extent the crisis in Kerala would be, should the order get implemented wholly.
In its survey, the Kerala Remote Sensing Agency is using satellite images to estimate the likely prohibition and restriction contours, in case the Central order takes effect.
