Panaji : A bus that students from Kannur took for a study tour went ablaze in Goa. Students of Kuttur JBS B. Ed course had traveled in the bus and reached Madgaon where the fire occurred. There was no one aboard the bus at the time, hence no casualties. There were 7 students in all and 3 teachers on trip. The accident occurred while heading back after tour, close to Saveli village in Old Goa.
It was lucky escape for all. However, all baggage including mobiles left in the bus were consumed by flames. . Police in their preliminary findings consider short circuit cuased the blaze. Damages for the tourister is estimated at Rs 40 lakhs.
