Vadakkara : North Zone DIG arrives at scene in Vadakkara, where a business owner was found dead inside his shop. In the half-hour visit, the DIG Rahul R Nair looked up the shop where the man lay dead and later went to the hospital morgue where the body was stored. Additional SP P. M. Pradeep and DySP R. Hariprasad accompanied the DIG.
The police are of the view that the death is case of homicide. The CCTV did not yield any clues to what happened. Forensic team including fingerprint experts scoured the crime scene and around. A squad dog was also pressed into service. The shop’s interior appeared like there took place some kind of struggle. The DIG’s visit arrived on tip this was possibly a murder.
Investigations are on and it’s not possible to divulge details at this point, the DIG told reporters. The deceased businessman is Puthiyap native from VAdakkara, Rajan(62). He was discovered dead inside his shop at 11:30 Saturday night in circumstances that appeared highly suspicious.
