Cabinet Approves State-of-the-art Vehicles For Excise Dept; Read Other Decisions Here

Thiruvananthapuram : The Cabinet meeting on Wednesday approved purchase of four state-of-the-art vehicles for the Mobile Intervention Unit of the Excise Department.

The decision came following Excise Commissioner’s report that for effective chase and apprehension of gangs smuggling in  drugs and liquor via newly built bridges over Keezhattoor Kadav,  Panchikattu Kadav and Perinchan Kadava in Neyyatinkara and also en route Karode, it was essential for Excise personnel to have vehicles of modern standards that come fitted  with state-of-the-art  systems.The exercise is part of setting up  4 Kerala Excise Mobile Intervention Units that will operate round-the-clock seven days a week. 

Sanctioned limit
The Finance Department would be directed to release Rs 42.75 crore in additional authorisation, toward smooth implementation of the project.

Pay Revision
The salary, allowances etc of government-recognised posts in Kerala Lalitha Kala Academy will be upgraded to stipulates of Order dated 10.02.2021.

Upping Authorised Capital.
The cabinet meeting decided to raise authorised capital of Kerala State Backward Classes Development Corporation to Rs 200 crore from the present Rs 150 crore.
