It was a holiday and Naufar was onway to Thevalkara when he noticed a car slipping into the lake. A crowd gathered, but were unsure what to do. Naufar soon threw himself into the lake and as he swam close to the car, he noticed the woman and child trapped inside. Meanwhile, Midhun was on his way to a marriage function and stopped by the crowd to enquire what the matter was.
On noticing Naufar attempting to help the trapped passengers, Midhun too jumped up close behind. The car had all glasses pulled up and Naufar and Midhun called for ropes to be thrown in. The car was soon looped and all on shore helped drag the vehicle out. A small delay could have proved catastrophic, said Midhun.
Visuals of the rescue viralled on social media triggering loads of felicitations for Naufar and Midhun for their bravery at their homes.
