Thiruvananthapuram> A case has been registered against those who posted defamatory remarks against three Muslim girls who participated in a flash mob for AIDS awareness. They will be charged under different sections of the IT Act.
The police have collected as evidence some defamatory references from certain profiles namely, Anas P A, Bichan Basheer, Hanif njagattari, Zubair Aboobacker, Ciroz al-Arafah and Ashkar Fariq.
The Women Commission and the Youth Commission had also registered suo-motto cases in the incident. M C Josephine, the Women’s Commission chairperson had termed the attack against the girls as a disgrace to Kerala’s culture.
