Kochi :Allegations against Asianet are of very serious nature, said High Court on Wednesday. The observation came from Justice Nagaresh in the plea submitted by Asianet seeking police protection.
Police must provide adequate protection when there occurs attacls, the court ruled. Even so, the court ruling will not hamper police for raids they might conduct, the judge clarified. When there’s complaint received, the police must take action, the court said.
Eight have been arrested in the Kochi incident at Asianet office. More suspects remain to be taken into custody, the police informed court. In its plea, Asianet sought protection for its offices in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur.
