THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala did a flip flop on his prolonged accusation that govt shared data on state’s 87 lakh ration cardholders with Sprinklr. Incidentally, the sudden U-turn comes after a series of press meets, the UDF band including party seniors, convened accusing the state govt of selling data.
Chennithala’s latest briefing : I leveled the accusation based on news reports in a popular daily. They said the concerned data(ration card holders’) is being used in certain stages of processing. Later, I conceded to the government’s assertion that no such usage was ever done. We make statements based on media reports. These kind of things appear in media. We have no kind of file access whatsoever. So what else can we do ?”
