Thiruvananthapuram : In a sharing gesture for families suffering devastation wreaked by Wayanad landslides, the Chief Minister’s family donated to the distress relief fund. Chief Minister donated Rs 1 lakh and wife contributed T Kamala Rs 33,000 to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund(DMDRF).
Meanwhile, beating malicious campaign propagated by certain callous quarters, money - in small and large sums - continue to trickle into CMDRF beating
Backdrop: Multiple landslides followed by flash floods struck the northern district of Wayanad on 30th July. The unprecedented scale of the tragedy has claimed at least 308 lives and destroyed homes, property and crops on widescale.
