Food shall be served at schools in adherence to Covid protocols

Children Will Not Sit Hungry In Class; Schools To Provide Lunch : Minister V Sivankutty

Thiruvananthapuram : The government is particular  that when schools reopen on 1st of November, children do not sit hungry in class, said Education Minister V. Sivankutty.  The Education Department is of view to  provide  lunch at all public schools. School authorities should take measures to ensure Covid protocols are observed while serving food to children.

Soaps, sanitizers etc shall be made available to students. Thermal scanner would be present to check on children’s temperature. Arrangements shall also be made to make a doctor available per school, said the minister.

Seating arrangement of one student per bench shall be followed in classrooms. Except for holidays, all days including Saturdays shall be working days.

Scheme to set up bio-bubble so children can travel to school in adherence to Covid protocols. All spaces children are bound to arrive are being disinfected before the schools reopen, the minister said.
