Kozhikode > The CITU today gave a call to intensify the nationwide struggle, both independently and jointly with other organisations, to achieve the just demands of the working class.
This was stated at the conclusion of the four day General Council of the CITU here today.
The General council decided on an action programme to 'expose and protest' at the call of 'Jan Ekta Jan Adhikar Andolan' (National Platform of Class mass and social outfits) on completion of four years of BJP led NDA government on May 23, by mobilising people at state and district headquarters.
A 'Jail Bharo' agitation would be held on August 9, Quit India Movement Day, by mobilising the support of peasants and agricultural workers organisations, seeking fulfillment of their various demands, the release said.
The Council also decided for joint mobilization of five lakh workers, peasants and agricultural workers on September 5 for the "Mazdoor Kisan Rally" at New Delhi.
