Kasaragod : LDF bagged Kanhangad’s Thoyammal ward with lead of 464 votes in local body byelection.
The LDF candidate, N Indira secured 701 votes while UDF scored 234 and BJP 72. CPI(M). The seat had fallen vacant after CPI(M) candidate Janakikutty passed way.
A total of five byelections were held in the district.
