Kochi : There are assured BJP votes for UDF so LDF is defeated, said K Babu, the UDF candidate in Thripunithura. Several who voted for BJP last time called up to convey their backing for me, said. K Babu made in his interview with Mathrubhumi news.
K Babu’s revelation is indicative of the deal between BJP and Congress, said LDF candidate M Swaraj. It also shows how an MLA of 25 years does not hope to win by fair means, he said. Even if BJP and Congress were to stand together, K Babu will be defeated in Thripunithura, he added.
K Babu’s revelation amounts to conceding defeat even as election campaign has only begun. UDF cannot win the straight way. UDF’s plight would be pathetic if they were to approach public with their politics and election manifesto. This realisation has led the front to grab the only respite i.e. collusion with BJP. Congress and BJP must answer on the revelation made by K Babu, said Swaraj.
