Kochi :There are increasing reports on UDF candidates and their close ones having multiple entries in the electoral rolls, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday.
UDF candidates in Perumbavoor and Kaipamangalam, Kazhakuttam have more than one vote. The League MLA in Kalamassery, Ebrahim Kunju’s sister and nephew have 3 to 4 votes each. More facts of this nature continue to emerge, said CM.
Congress’s hand in the duplications was evident at the very outset. The first lady in question had admitted to being a Congress worker and said Congress workers had applied for her voter card.
Election Commission is accountable for the electoral roll and are looking into the curious occurrences of multiple entry, said CM,.
