Cong. Turmoil : G-23 Leaders Push For Urgent Reforms, Top Leadership Change

New Delhi : In wake of big election defeat across five states, the G-23 leaders are up against AICC leadership demanding immediate change.

A private meeting was held at the residence of Congress senior Gulam Nabi Azad and partaking were Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal, Lok Sabha MP Manish Tiwari, deputy leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha Anand Sharma and Akhilesh Prasad Singh.

At the meeting, the leaders reportedly discussed leadership’s growing disconnect with people and held that the party was being run b a clique of sycophants. The meeting concluded deciding to demand at the Working Committee meeting slated this week : urgent reforms, democratization of decision making and timely election for post of Congress president and CWC members.
